Enner Valencia is ready to leave West Ham this summer and is attracted to a potential transfer to Lazio, who have “made a move” for his signature, according to the player’s agent.
The Ecuador international signed for the Hammers following an impressive 2014 World Cup campaign.

Although the man snapped up from Mexican side Pachuca initially impressed, he’s slipped down the pecking order in east London over the course of the past 12 months, with the rise of Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini, as well as injury issues and a change in management at the club, having effected him.
The 26-year-old has been widely tipped to leave the Olympic Stadium-bound club over the coming months, and now his agent has fuelled speculation of a switch to Serie A.
Speaking to Lalaziosiamonoi.it, Gonzalo Vargas confirmed that his client is keen to move on and that a transfer to Lazio, who have made an initial approach for him, is appealing:
“We’re going to England in the next few days with Enner to talk to West Ham,
“He wants to leave, although he is not making an obsession out of it because, unlike some reports, he does have a good relationship both with the coach and with his teammates.
“He wants to play at the top — in Italy, Spain or England — and the decision over his future will be determined 100 percent by sporting elements and not economic ones.
“Lazio have shown a real interest and that’s an option that Enner is particularly keen on. Roma also like him, but only Lazio have made a move through their management. West Ham want to recoup the outlay on him, but Enner is not interested in that.”
West Ham paid £12m for Valencia just two years ago, but with only 19 Premier League appearances and four goals under his belt from the 2015/16 season, it appears unlikely they’ll recoup that sum for him.
