Toone has started 2025 in electric form, highlighted by her hat-trick in Manchester United's 4-2 win over rivals Manchester City last month. A week later, she was on the scoresheet again, as the Red Devils defeated Brighton 3-0. Those efforts allowed the Lionesses star to see off plenty of competition to be named Player of the Month, with team-mate Elisabeth Terland, Man City striker Vivianne Miedema, Tottenham star Bethany England, Liverpool youngster Olivia Smith, Leicester's Julie Thibaud and the Chelsea duo of Nathalie Bjorn and Millie Bright also nominated.

Miedema did have a prize delivered to her this week though, after winning the Goal of the Month award for her second strike against Aston Villa. After finding the back of the net earlier in the game with an opportunistic finish, the Netherlands star curled her second beautifully into the top-corner in a 4-2 win for Man City.

Rounding out the awards was Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor, who picked up her third Manager of the Month accolade. The Blues continued their unbeaten start to the WSL season in January, with the stand-out result a tight 1-0 win over London rivals Arsenal. Under Bompastor, the reigning champions are still yet to lose, winning 12 of their 13 league games so far. Man Utd's Marc Skinner and Tottenham coach Robert Vilahamn were the other nominees for the award.

Toone and Man Utd host Crystal Palace on February 16, with Bompastor's Chelsea welcoming Everton later that day and Miedema and Man City closing out the round in a Sunday evening clash with Liverpool.
