Flocking to Twitter, many Manchester City fans have erupted over an announcement involving fan favourite Bernardo Silva.
The midfield engine, who was heavily tipped with a move away from Eastlands in the summer, couldn’t get his move abroad but has knuckled down and continued to perform under Pep Guardiola regardless.

Starting last month in fine fashion, Bernardo’s second half strike away to Leicester City grabbed the Sky Blues a crucial 1-0 win and all three points as they look to defend their 2020/2021 Premier League crown.
What followed was a fantastic all-round individual performance against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, where the Portuguese displayed his usual hard-work in the middle of the park and helped City see out another narrow 1-0 victory.
As a result of his outings, it has now been officially announced that Bernardo has clinched the Etihad Player of the Month award for September.
