Luis Diaz opened up on his future plans as Barcelona have reportedly reignited their interest in the Liverpool star after they were snubbed by Nico Williams. Hours after Williams’ contract extension was officially announced, reports emerged linking the Blaugrana with Díaz, who has long been admired by sporting director Deco. The Colombian forward is now seen as a priority for Barcelona.

Deco, tasked with rejuvenating Barcelona's left wing, is believed to be focused on Díaz as his Plan A. The Liverpool star has two years left on his current deal at Anfield, and his representatives are said to be open to discussions with the English club regarding a possible transfer this summer. And now that Williams is off the table, Barcelona have taken active interest in the winger.

Speaking about the mounting speculation surrounding his future, Díaz chose to be diplomatic.
"It's not known yet, we're talking with the board. We're comfortable with where I am, and we'll have to see," he told Colombian television station

However, should a move for Díaz prove too costly or complex, Deco has a backup option: Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford. The English international is also said to be keen on a switch to La Liga and is reportedly willing to reduce his wage demands to help facilitate a move to Camp Nou.
