Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was announced that Manchester United had sacked Jose Mourinho on Tuesday morning.
The Red Devils have a worse defensive record than Huddersfield, have a goal difference of zero, and find themselves in sixth place – closer to the bottom of the table than they are to the top.
Mourinho has looked like a man actively trying to get the sack for some time now, and those above him at Old Trafford have finally bit the bullet and sacked the Portuguese coach who had signed a contract extension as recently as January.
The embarrassing 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield proved to be the final straw for the decision makers at United, something that fans of the Reds will take great pleasure in.
Much will change at Old Trafford now, with a caretaker manager set to see out the remainder of the season.
