Everton left-back Brendan Galloway returned to Goodison Park this week after his season-long loan spell with West Bromwich Albion was cut short.
The 21-year-old had made just five appearances in all competitions for the Baggies – and just three in the Premier League – as he struggled to fight off competition from Chris Brunt and Allan Nyom for the spot in Tony Pulis’ side.
The defender tweeted that it was “great to be back” after he made an appearance for the under-23 side against Tottenham on Monday night, but he is ineligible to appear for the first team before the end of the campaign as he is
still registered to the west Midlands outfit.
Toffees supporters were quick to have their say on the left-back’s return to Merseyside via social media, with many hoping that he will be a permanent fixture in the Everton team next season.
