Newcastle United’s Matty Longstaff could sign a pre-contract deal with Inter Milan or AC Milan, according to The Times.

As it stands, the 19-year-old has just six months left on his current deal, which leaves him free to negotiate with clubs outside of the UK.

Longstaff, who currently earns £1,000-a-week, is said to be of interest to the two Serie A giants. Should he depart, the Toon would be due a compensation package of just £400,000.
Poor business
Longstaff has burst onto the scene this season, following in the footsteps of his brother Sean who broke into the side last term. During the current campaign, the younger sibling has scored thrice in 11 appearances, netting the winner on his debut against Manchester United.

Given his potential, it is flabbergasting that Newcastle have not already secured him to a new deal – the report also adds that talks have stalled over a new deal.
